hospital bead

Today I went to hospital, cracked shoulder like a cup where you can see a line but it is not yet broken, but the cup doesn't grow back together, my bone will grow back together but it needs rest. i will have to learn to be patient! Nurse said 2 weeks maybe 4 weeks, just be careful sleeping.

another idea

I tried to develop the idea of discontinuity by painting a larger piece on canvas, and then isolating predetermined areas with a frame. The un-chosen area of paint is a discontinuity, which if the work has an inherent rhythm, can be filled in by the mind of the viewer. If some concept of musicality was present in my work then the continuity of the disrupted piece would be evident.

Headache after tutorials

Tutors gave me too much advice, and argued with me for 2 weeks, for 2 weeks, my brain nearly exploded. I really cannot paint new style, I need to find a breakthrough, so I can paint in a new style. Maybe after a break from London I'll be able to have a fresh approach to it.

new idea

In one project I got a natural canvas scroll and painted on it while it was on the floor. This allowed me to paint on a much larger scale than on the narrow paper scrolls. I painted in areas but would not cover the entire space; and saw where it took me. Blank areas of canvas left spaces for imagination, space to be filled by the mind.
